The Strathcona Curling Club (SCC) is a non-profit organization that strives to maintain competitive and reasonable league, program and operation fees. An administrative cost is incurred for each member during registration, including but not limited to staffing, credit card and debit fees, and ice making and equipment expenditures. It is because of these costs that the SCC requires an administrative fee withholding policy. A forced closure of the facility may occur and therefore a refund policy is also required.
Deadline for Payment of League Fees = First Day of Play
A $50.00 fee will apply to any NSF cheques received by the SCC.
REFUNDS
Closure or Interruption of Play
The Strathcona Curling Club may be required to cancel all leagues or programs due to circumstances beyond our control. For example, an announcement from Alberta Health Services or Strathcona County regarding COVID-19 that requires us to have either a temporary closure or an interruption of play or a permanent closure. Other reasons for a temporary interruption of play could include mechanical problems such as refrigeration plant shutdown, waterline break, etc.
If single or only a few games are missed, all efforts will be made to make up these games at a later date.
If there is an extended Interruption of Play or Closure of the Club during the season, refunds for games missed, will be as follows:
Voluntary Withdrawal from Play
If the member voluntarily withdraws from play, for any reason, including sickness or injury, it is their responsibility to find a replacement person and negotiate with that person to pay them the appropriate amount of the fees. There will be no refunds for voluntary withdrawal from play.
